Some more "Big Girl" pics...

Little Miss Muffin eating cracker crumbs for the first time at Nana's! Looks like she is very interested or maybe she just likes playing in it. :)

Olivia's Getting Big!

Thought I would post these picture of Olivia at her Nana's house being a "Big Girl". Nana bought her some sippy cups for her to try to start drinking out of every once in awhile and she did. It was a HIT! So proud! And by the way, isn't she just the cutest baby ever????

New Landscaping

So, here it is.....Allen and I have been working so hard in our front yard the past two weeks and are so proud of our accomplishments. Here's the background - When we bought the house the front yard was over ridden with old azaleas and other struggling plants so one of the first things we attended to after we moved in was tearing EVERYTHING out of the front yard. We were left with a blank slate to work with but here's the thing, we left it that way for over a year. So, it was due time for us to fix up the front yard. We are not quite finished yet, we still need to add some plants on the side of the house and in the very large planting bed on the left side of the house but as of right now we are happy that we got this far. I'd have to say to date this is the best improvement we have made to the house since we've moved in.

Pictures from the Baby Shower

Tori and me (please excuse my hair, it looks like I have a bouffant on top of my hair..uhhhhh!) And I am a tit pasty. I might need to consider to start working on my tan before I start scaring people.
Coffee table arrangement
These are the goody bags I made for the guests. They had pink and hot pink m & m's and lime green gum balls. Those were the main colors I used for the party.

Tori opening up her presents, which she did quickly because she doesn't like to be the "center of attention".

These are the flower arrangements that I made for my dining room table. I always have the most fun with doing this at the parties I host but this time I was a little unhappy with how they turned out. I bought different kinds and colors of ribbon to tie around each of the vases but they wouldn't stay on nor did it look good. So I just used the ribbon on the table as decoration. Kea - you might be seeing those at your party! :) And the filler I used that I got from my backyard didn't last that long and got droopy on me pretty quick.

Baby Shower

One baby shower down, one more to go. This weekend I hosted my first party, a baby shower, at our house for one of my friends, Tori Long. We used to work together at EGS Commercial Real Estate and have stayed in touch with either since I left the company. Of course, I had to have everything perfect down to the landscaping outside....picture this me out in the rain at 7:00am planting the last shrubs and flowers in our new flower beds and then barking it all on SATURDAY MORNING. There is nothing like waiting to the last minute to do everything. Typical. I was NOT a happy camper. I had mud up to my knees and was not happy at you know who that was relaxing at the lake with my parents. :) Thanks to my mom pitching in on Friday and Lin and Olivia coming over Saturday morning to help, I made it! (Allen did help in the yard throughout the week.) :) But anyway, it was all worth it and the party turned out to be a success...I'll post pictures as soon as I can find my camera connection cord to the computer. I seemed to have miss places it. Typical, once again. :)

Easter this year at the lake was wonderful! We had such a good time hanging out and letting Olivia play for the first time in the sand and on the pier at the lake. Of course, Lindsey and I had so much fun looking for Easter eggs while Blake and Allen watched on the sidelines.
