Ode to Kea and Lauren...Do you remember when?

I had to post this picture of Kea and me. I believe it was from my bachelorette weekend at the beach. Do you remember the days when all of our friends didn't have babies? ( I know all of you would n't change a thing in the world right now, nor would I, but I still have to ask the questions), Do you remember when a night out would consist of going to someones apartment or house sitting on the front porch after work and drinking a glass of wine or more and just talking about work and friends?, Do you remember when we could all pick up without a moments notice and go on a trip and not have to worry about taking off work, what to do with the dog or how we would pay for the trip?, Do you remember when a night out didn't end at 10:00 and we would stay out until 2:00 am and then order Papa Johns or Willys?, Do you remember when we all had a Spring Break and the biggest issue we had to deal with was what we were going to wear and where we were going?

I know we all have "wonderful and fulfilling " lives now but don't you wish just once we could turn back the hands of time and go back to a Saturday night in Auburn with not a care in the world - just worrying about how we were going to get home that night? Didn't mean to be all sappy but I just saw this picture and thought, "Awwww...the gold ole days". WAR EAGLE!!!!

Typical picture of Kea and me in the gold ole days. I love it!

Nathan and Casey's wedding

This weekend Allen was in one of his best friends from Selma wedding in Jasper. His parents are very good friends with my in-laws and Becky was asked by Nathan's mom to do the flower arrangements for the rehearsal dinner and the grooms cake. Some of you may not know that Becky was blessed with the gift of flower arranging and she does a fabulous job at it! Here is a pic of the grooms cake and the flower arrangement Beck arranged. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Cutting the grass for the FIRST TIME!!!!

So, I know it sounds absurd but I 've never cut the grass before! Ridic, I know, but I've never had the chance until now. Allen finally "let" me cut a tiny strip in our front yard a couple of weeks ago. I actually enjoyed it and understand why everyone says now that its good exercise. So, I thought I would post a picture of one of "my firsts" for a change, instead of one of Olivia's!

FINALLY....FINISHED!

Accent painting

Accent paintings

Main Painting
So, I am finally finished with my paintings. When Kea visited us a couple weekends ago we discussed me not having any artwork or pictures in the house and how badly I needed that especially in the dining room and the living room. So, my mission was instead of buying two pieces of artwork for probably around $300, I would paint something that in the end only cost $60, which included paint, brushes, art canvas and stencil. I've had a lot fun painting each night after work and on the weekends too but I think Allen is really happy that I am out of the kitchen floor and not in his way anymore. Harvey is too.....not once but twice he walked on top of my paintings. It was kind of cute but not really! I haven't decided where I am actually going to hang the paintings. My first initial thought was to hang them in the dining room but now I am thinking my living room. I have a huge blank wall as soon as you walk in the front door that doesn't have a thing on it that might look good with these hanging on it. But I need someones opinion (besides Allen's) that can help me decide the best place to hang them. Mom??

Month of Creativity

Thanks to Kea, I'm on my interior decorating kick again so I decided to revamp my fireplace and my dining room. Lindsey brought me some dried hydrangeas and I bought two containers from Michael's that were only $5.00 a piece!!!!Regularly $40.00! What a deal! So,last night I decided to arrange to flower arrangements, one for my mantle and one for my dining room table. Let me know what you think. Tomorrow I should have a picture up of my artwork that I made for my dining room.

So I told everyone I was going to do it....and I did!!!!!!!

Me wanting to get married to Allen all over again....I loved that dress!!!!

This is Allen's grooms cake and an assorment of our wedding memorabela that I put out on our dining room table.

So our one year anniversary was yesterday and it was wonderful! Allen surprised me and took me to Fleming's, our favorite resturant to eat at when we are celebrating a special occassion. When we got there Allen had a special table for us set up with a present and a card waiting for me. We ate dinner, which was FAB and then our dessert was brought out......it was our wedding cake topper!!! He is so sweet and thoughtful! The cake was surprisingly deliciuos! So, after that we went home and as I told everyone I was going to do, I put on my wedding dress and we watched our wedding video. It was so great and brought back so many wonderful memories! Here are some pics of last night...

Lindsey's Kindergarden Classroom

So, Lindsey has been working on her classroom for the past couple of weeks getting ready for the first day back to school, which is tomorrow for the teachers and Thursday for the students. I've been able to help her somewhat but Lindsey has done such an awesome job getting her "Farm" themed classroom together. I thought I would post a few pictures of Lindsey's accomplishments.....It's so cute......And by far, the cutest classroom at Valley (hehe...but I'm a little partial!)

Girls Night Out

Lindsey, Olivia and I had a "Girl's Day and Night" this past Saturday. We went to the lake Friday night and hung out with Mom and Dad and then headed back to B'ham the next morning. Poor Mom....she had to go to the doctor in Dadeville, Alabama because she was so sick. She ended up finding out that she has bronchitis again. Hope you start feeling better, Mom! Nana's Daycare is back in session starting tomorrow so you better start feeling better!!!! Anyway, we went and ate at Jim and Nic's Saturday night and oh my god how good it was!!! Before we ate we made a run to Michael's to pick up a few crafting items, Lindsey helped me finish a piece if artwork that I have been working on forever and could never get right. I'll post a picture of it after I finish up the final touches. But anyway, this pic is from Saturday night...Olivia was so silly! We fed her french fries, green beans, cheese biscuits and chicken fingers ( Mom - we only fed her small amounts...Don't worry). This picture was taken after she ate all that food and was WIRED! She stayed up with us until 9:00 that night! We had so much fun and I can't wait for our next sleep over!!!
